i like the idea of calling collages those ads that we can find everywhere here. a real malediction in our country (the images are in Jordan, but it's the same here) anybody can put anything on any surface! yes, i like those images myself, i find them ironic and poetic in the same time. big thank you <3
So ´walk in the sun ´ is made based on this kind of poster-ads ? Arabian letters look very interesting to my eye ,as i have no sligthest idea of their meaning ,they turn in to my mind to ´nonsense calligraphy ´,to a play of images and forms ,maybe some of the figures i saw in ´walk in the sun ´,are based on such letters . I have always thought poster filled walls inspiring ,but this is even more so ,with enigmatic letters and bright coloured pictures on the crumbling walls .
on the same one, just teared. arabic letters have these curved lines, and yes when not understood, it helps to the abstraction. in "walk in the sun" you have five numbers, as negative space, but no letters as far as i can see :)
