all that i remember

  1. looks strange , one of your underwater potraits ,
that square shape on the right is probably multilayer ? All that i remember about a time spend in the womb or from some previous incarnation when we were ambhibian creatures in the prehistoric past . There seems to be some twigs or plants in the water

    1. yes, strange indeed. i was trying to give new directions to my UW portraits, not just for the sake of variety but also to explore the limits, how far can i get with one model in the very limited space and limited facial expressions.
the right part is cut and flipped, also to break the space and the continuity.
i like your explanation of remembering the collective past of a species.
even if i meant something much more contemporary :)

  2. could be emergence, could be sinking... the unusual color and the hard, off-center line work really well. everything is soft but then geometry is superimposed - and the title invites interpretation of why that is.

i typed all this while deliberately not reading the exchange with Markus, now i'll look and see what's already been said!

    1. i feel it like sinking... it's not peaceful as you'd expect it to be. soft but still ful of anguish. maybe the green, maybe the eye of the beholder

  3. Wonderful feeling of suspension...differing levels yet clever in its continuity
