    3. not at all! it's on the main road along the seaside in Tripoli. at my right the sea and on the other side, this! i had to wait for cars to pass between a shot and the next.
i've been looking at this for more than 20 years.
now the real question is why didn't i take those photos till now!?? :D

  2. this is really really a draft, i have to work on the line breaks and some of the wording, but - i'm on a roll :P

    The wall is asleep
and it knows it is asleep
    and it is not having
    a pleasant dream
    or any dream so
    it wants to wake up
    but it cannot wake up,
    it wants windows
    but something makes
    its windows blank,
    and it tries as hard
as it can to cry out
    against the blankness
    and then and then
    a window shouts
    and "who shouted?"
    the wall thinks before
it is fully awake and knows
    that the shout was itself
and it is morning in Tripoli
    above the heedless ocean
