Most trees sleep through the night but occasionally a very young one will swim up out of its quiet dreams to see a world of many small suns and no great one, some high and far, others low and close, and feel wonder touched by fear at the sight.
And sometimes a very old tree will stay awake as evening deepens into night, then stay awake through every hour until dawn, and sing for joy as the sun comes up again.
wrote a poem for this!
